St Pierre du littoral at Domaine du Café

Program

You will be immersed in the soul of the south during this walk from the Pointe du Diable to the Domaine du Café Grillé. Magnificent views of the Saint-Pierroise coast, the Piton des Neiges massif and the slopes of the Fournaise volcano punctuate what is none other than a portion of the old railway line.

Before arriving at the Domaine du Café Grillé in Pierrefonds, you will cross an agricultural zone made up of sugar cane fields bordered by coconut trees. The guide of the Domain will welcome you in an extraordinary botanical garden of 4 hectares dedicated to the Reunion of yesterday and today.

In the bend of the shaded alleys you will discover rare collections of orchids, palm trees and other exotic plants. Then you will immerse yourself in the Reunion "Lontan" that is to say Bourbon coffee, gasoline plants, forgotten fruits, spices and endemic species now extinct.

It is in this convivial space where you will be able to taste the Bourbon Pointu coffee and other great vintages that will end this course in the maritime and flowery atmospheres. M.Tipvea
