Tourism: Lyon awarded 3 stars in the Michelin Green Guide
More good news for the city of Lyon! After being voted 2nd best big city in the world by the famous Condé Nast Traveler magazine, Lyon has just been awarded 3 tourism stars by the Michelin Green Guide. 💚
A great reward for all the work done by the Metropolis, the Tourist Office and all the tourism and leisure actors.
These 3 tourism stars displayed on the front of the Lyon Metropolitan Tourist Office on Place Bellecour, do not make us less proud. 😊
In this particular year, the objective of the famous Green Guide was to enhance the development of tourism in France. To do so, communication about the classified sites was a key point.
To our great pleasure, the city of Lyon was able to stand out thanks to the richness of its architectural and cultural heritage and all its tourist actors can certify it to you "Lyon, worth the trip!".
The Michelin Green Guide's tourism stars are awarded according to nine criteria based on how you feel when you discover a place, its heritage value, its authenticity and charm as well as the enjoyment of the visit. These criteria are then discussed and validated by the guide's team of editors and authors. These 3 stars awarded to Lyon mean that the city is worth a visit! 💖
The Lyon Tourism Office itself reacted to this good news: "This distinction puts some cheer into the heart of the entire metropolitan tourism ecosystem while we wait to resume normal activity again."
