We planned a visit to La Rochelle via cruise ship so had pre booked the Segway tour. The offices were 4 mins walk away from where the shuttle bus stopped. We were briefed on how to use the Segways, one you get the hang of them they are easy to use. We booked in the 1 hour harbor tour, great views and idea for people using segways for the first time.

Visiting La Rochelle by segway is really a great experience. Getting started is fast, everything is done to give us confidence. We had chosen the 2-hour route and our guide Rémy is very competent, his advice and his company were a great pleasure.

My traveling companion and I had already used Segways before, while it was not a new experience, within the limits of a built-up area, it certainly was! Our guide Jean was knowledgeable and cheerful and although he said his English was not so good, it was much better than my French, so the instructions and information were easy. This took us to parts of LaRocehelle that I had never seen before and that I probably would not have known if we had not. If you like segways or are not afraid to try something new, this is a great way to spend an hour.

We crisscrossed La Rochelle on a Segway for 2 hours, which allowed us to discover places which we never suspected existed. The walk was very pleasant with our very friendly guide Rémi. This allows you to visit without having to walk for hours. To do without hesitation!

The segways are very easy to drive, let yourself go :-) I recommend the two-hour ride, because not only is it really worth it (you will discover very beautiful corners of the city), but the price is quite correct with regard to the service. And the two hours pass very quickly! A very nice activity to do in La Rochelle :-)

At the time of booking, we hesitated between a circuit of 30 minutes and 1 hour but finally we took the hour and it is without regret because it goes very quickly. The setting is superb. The welcome is very pleasant and friendly. It is also a good gift idea for Christmas.
